MID*WEEK NEWS

BOARD ROOM NEWS
We have all been experiencing many changes during the past
week. While some have been pleased with
these changes, others have had a variety of feelings, including loss, sadness,
grief, and anger.
We will be having our 2nd communications meeting on Sunday,
March 30th at 1 P.M, and we invite everyone to come and share their
feelings and concerns, so that we can have closure and begin to rebuild our
spiritual community.
Please know that the members of the Board spent
considerable time discussing and praying over the decision to let Rev. McKenna
go. We finally concluded that the circumstances transpiring over the past
months, and in fact, years, left us with no other option. The shortfall in financial management
skills, along with continued declining attendance, has created a financial
crisis in the church. The countless
numbers of people leaving the church in many cases resulted from serious
unresolved interpersonal conflicts with the minister.
We recognize that the communications meeting might not
sufficiently meet your needs or that you may not be able to come at that
time. In either case, we will make
every effort to meet with you individually to hear your concerns, and process
feelings.
We send this letter in love, and with an invitation to join
us in rebuilding Unity Chapel of the Light into the vibrant spiritual community
that we believe it can be.

This class will teach you how to begin to change
your negative thoughts and statements into positive affirmations. Then you will
learn to go the next level by changing the affirmations into “journey
statements.” The journey statement is a statement of how you choose to live in
a positive way and the positive outcome you wish to create. You will also learn
to use affirmative prayer for yourself and others.

Come and explore how to open more fully
to the Divine within you and within the universe through the use of prayer.
