“52 Weeks of Possibilities”

Every Sunday, a congregant makes a 10-minute presentation to our children. This week, Eva Manbeck will take the kids on a trip to Switzerland!  We need YOU to show and tell, too! Recruit a family member/friend to co-present, if you wish.  Sign up in Friendship Hall or see Connie Lambert.

Serenity CAN be yours…Unity hosts a Day of Retreatevery Wednesday

Come anytime, stay/go according to your schedule.  No sign up needed.  Love offering.

Every Wednesday, a smorgasbord of centering, relaxing, communing with nature and meditative activities take place here at Unity, led by congregant Pilar Farnsworth. The activities run from 10AM-4PM—and beyond—since some participants return for our Wednesday (6:30PM) meditation service to cap off their day.  10AM till noon-meet at Unity’s gazebo to enjoy Qi Gong, gardening, journaling and nature.  Noon till 1PM–lunch break. Bring a lunch and eat in the church kitchen, or go to an area restaurant. 1PM-4PM – meet in the McClellan Room: study/practice healing with sound, meditation, Reiki and other modalities.

What’s Happening?

A Grief Support Group is forming at Unity

In response to the needs of many, our church is initiating a grief support group.  We all realize that feelings of loss can be lonely, confusing, or overwhelming.  If you would appreciate companions on your journey, who will understand your feelings—and indeed, share them—please attend.  This group will be helpful whether your loss is recent or long-term; whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, a broken relationship, a job loss, etc.  An organizational meeting will be held on Monday, July 26 at 7PM, during which a “comfort agreement” will be created, with everyone’s input, to assure that each individual’s unique grief needs and process are honored.

Lady Hawise, Mistress of the Dance, invites you to a FUN and unusual event at Unity.  On Wednesday, August 4, 7:30-9:30PM, you can learn (beginner’s level) dances of the Middle Ages.  Dance was very popular in Medieval and Renaissance times, from informal family gatherings to formal royal court events.  You don’t need to know how to dance, nor do you need to bring a partner.  Just wear comfy shoes and invite your friends!  Love offering. Got muscles ?  We’d love to borrow ‘em!  We need someone to “edge” the oval garden that surrounds our Unity sign near the road.  This would be a big help to Marty Wendell, who has adopted that area!  Prepare to be appreciated!

Want to “adopt”… flower-clip-art  …a flower bed?

It’s the latest craze here at Unity Chapel of Light!  Julie White has adopted one; so have Bruce, Nikki and Noah Price…and Laura Henry, Rose Everhart, Marty Wendell and Vivian Gassan!  Carol Bailey Floyd is creating a “fairy garden” in one spot; Holly Rowley has adopted the entire field in front of the gazebo!  Is there a flower bed or area of the church grounds that has your name on it?  Many worthy areas are waiting for your loving touch. Please call the office to arrange your adoption!

Wanted to Rent

Holly Matson, who has been connected to our church for the past couple of years, representing a variety of speakers and healers, intends to relocate from the Cleveland area to northern Summit County AND join our congregation…SOON! If you know of a tiny house, garden apartment or condo for rent, please contact the church office.

Your love, prayers and healing energy are GREATLY needed…

Please send your prayers, affirmations and good vibrations continuously to the Gulf region so severely impacted by the ongoing oil disaster.  We know the power each of us has to make positive change in the world. So let’s pray for all those touched by this continuing tragedy.

Healing Therapies

“Support your happiness and wellness with the power of healing therapies.”  Just as prayer supports our happiness and wellness, Reiki and other energy treatments support our good health, come from a place of abundance and support all the blessings in our lives.  Call practitioners for an appointment:  Gloria Pohler 330.673.4238; Susan Wilk  330.929.7919.
