The Sunday school experience at Unity Chapel of Light…

Our kids are taught by a dynamic group of rotating teachers who help to guide them along their spiritual journey. Our classes are broken into the following age groups…

Uniteens- 6th-8th Grade
The focus for this age group is on giving students the opportunity to explore spiritually while being enlightened, encouraged, strengthened and empowered via group discussions, activities, book studies and service projects. Classes focus on the many challenges that students face during the middle school years. Group follow-up discussions provide an avenue to develop spiritual problem solving and social skills. Uniteens are given opportunities to help present Sunday lessons to our Intermediate class. There are also two weekend regional retreats hosted by the Great Lakes Unity Region in Wisconsin that this group will have the opportunity to travel to. One is held in the fall and one is held in the spring. Adult sponsors accompany the youth on these trips.

Y.O.U.- 9th – 12th Grade
Y.O.U. (Youth of Unity) focuses on being a safe place for teenagers to explore their own spiritual path. The group provides a loving environment in which the youth may share their feelings and opinions toward any situation and in which all aspects of spirituality are discussed. They are allowed the freedom to question and challenge in order to learn and grow. These kids take ownership in their classroom by writing and presenting Sunday lessons, participating in service projects, and hosting a yearly fundraiser dinner. During the year, opportunities to attend sub-regional and regional rallies with other teens from 6 other states is a true highlight to their spiritual education. Adult sponsors accompany the youth on these trips.
